Lufthansa – Design and Operation of Major IT Outsourcing and Centralization Model

Enterprise Networks played a significant role in the design and operation of major IT outsourcing and centralization models at Lufthansa (e.g., LH Passage and LH Cargo).

In this context PC and notebook configurations were standardized and IT service and infrastructure management was centralized. The implementation of innovative technological solutions e.g., server-based computing via CITRIX, lead to a significant reduction in costs for infrastructure engineering and distribution. Costs could further be slashed by the introduction of highly efficient storage area networks.

Enterprise Networks also conducted the ITIL compliant configuration of key ITSM processes such as incident, problem change and order management. These processes currently serve approx. 17,000 PCs and notebooks.
